I just got back from a band trip to Newfoundland and haven’t gone grocery shopping, so this is a quick salad I did for dinner.
First ingredient: packaged salad from Needs Convenience, haha.
But my add-ons make it: salmon I rubbed in maple dijon mustard baked at 390 for 14 min, Omega brand maple roasted flax, and a simple dressing of balsamic, evoo (extra virgin olive oil), the same maple mustard used on the salmon and a splash of water. DeLISH.
The same way substitutions at a restaurant can make menu items a little healthier, adding on to pre-packaged things (like my corner store salad) can turn them into more satisfying meals.
